American Standard UL Industrial Cables
XHHW/PVC Jacket, Power Cable, CT Rated
Application and Description
XHHW/PVC conductors are primarily used in conduit, cable tray or other recongnized raceways for services, feeders, and branch circuit wiring as specified in the National Electrical Code. XHHW/PVC conductors are sunlight resistant and may be used in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C. Voltage rating for XHHW/PVC conductors is 600 volts
Cable Construction
Conductor:
Single copper conductor, stranded
tinned annealed copper per ASTM
B3 Class B stranding per ASTM B8
Insulation:
Flame-retardant, abrasion, heat, moisture and sunlight resistant Cross-Linked Polyethylene (FRXLPE)
Jacket: Flame retardant, moisture and sunlight resistant PVC
Color: upon request, black is preferable
